The Best Restaurants in Siem Reap, Cambodia: My Top 4 Favorite Places to Eat
Travelers from all over the world flock to Siem Reap, Cambodia for the temples and history, but make sure not to miss the delicious food scene as well! From traditional Khmer favorites to global cuisines, Siem Reap has a little bit of everything. After living and volunteering in Siem Reap for just over a month, there were a few restaurants I kept coming back to over and over again. Below I will share some of my favorite restaurants, and the best spot to grab dessert in Siem Reap.
1. Angkor Hand-Pulled Noodles & Dumplings
Price: $10-15 per person
My favorite chicken dumplings in the whole world can be found at Angkor Hand-Pulled Noodles and Dumplings, a delicious, affordable hidden gem where every dish is made with care and tradition. Honoring Cambodia’s rich culture of hand-pulled noodles, Chef Tour serves small batch hand pulled noodles, slow simmered broths, dumplings, and other Khmer dishes.
What to order: The crispy fried lemongrass chicken dumplings are unreal, perfectly golden with a burst of citrusy savory flavor in every bite. Try out the beef hand pulled fried noodles to get a taste of Khmer tradition. I also loved the warm bowl of flavorful vegetable dumpling soup.

2. Tevy’s Place ទេរីផ្លេស
Price: $5-10 per person
Throughout my two month stay in Siem Reap, I ate at Tevy’s Place at least twice a week, and I will recommend it to anyone who will listen. At this woman owned and all woman staffed eatery, you will find a blend of Khmer and Western dishes, with a variety of vegetarian and vegan options. As a solo female traveler, this restaurant became a safe and welcoming place for me to escape the heat and enjoy a meal.
What to order: I always go for the breakfast bowl with tofu, filled with fragrant rice, fresh fruit and vegetables, and a yummy dressing. I love to pair this with the refreshing lemongrass tea. The rich chocolate cake is the perfect sweet treat to finish.

3. Brother Bong Restaurant
Price: $3-10 per person
If you want an authentic taste of Cambodia without draining your wallet, Brother Bong Restaurant is the kind of place you’ll end up visiting more than once. Nestled along the riverside in the heart of Siem Reap, this Khmer street food spot serves up traditional Cambodian flavors that are delicious and affordable. The welcoming staff make you feel less like a tourist and more like family, the kind of hospitality that keeps people coming back again and again.
What to order: The menu is full of local favorites, but two dishes stand out to me are the amok chicken, a classic Khmer curry, and the beef lok lak, served with the signature pepper and lime kick. I’m also a big fan of their sister spot, Brother Bong Cafe, which offers breakfast, smoothies, juices, and award winning coffee.
4. CUCINA Pizza & Pasta
Price: $10-15 per person
Siem Reap offers an incredible variety of cuisines, including Italian food. While I’m a huge advocate for eating local Khmer cuisine, sometimes it’s nice to switch things up with a comforting plate of pasta or a wood-fired pizza. Cucina Pizza & Pasta offers a relaxing and intimate setting with an Italian inspired aesthetic, and is the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner, whether you’re craving handmade pasta, pizza, or a glass of wine. The menu features a variety of antipastis, pizza, and customizable pasta dishes.
What to order: We started off our meal with house red wine and marinated olives to snack on. My friend and I split the vodka pasta and bolognese as an entree, which was both delicious and just what we needed to switch things up. We finished off our meal with a delicious tiramisu. I’m not sure why, but if there’s one dessert Cambodia knows how to do well, it’s tiramisu.

Dessert at Amore Gelato
Price: $1-5 per person
This quaint little gelato shop can be found at the heart of the Siem Reap city center. I grabbed dessert at Amore Gelato countless times while living in Siem Reap for just over a month. It is in a great location to sit on the patio, enjoy some gelato, and watch the people and tuk tuks go by on the busy city streets. They offer many classic and unique flavors, including vegan options.
What I order: Chocolate banana gelato
