From cozy cafes serving award winning coffee to New York style bagel joints, Siem Reap offers a variety of breakfast and coffee spots to suit every taste. Whether you’re looking for a workspace, a leisurely brunch, or a great cup of coffee, these are my favorite cafes to grab breakfast and a coffee in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
1. Brother Bong Cafe
Price: $10-15 per person
Brother Bong Cafe is a cozy breakfast spot with friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere.Their menu blends flavorful Western favorites with authentic Khmer dishes, plus plenty of vegan and vegetarian options to suit every kind of traveler. From refreshing smoothies and juices to their award winning coffee, everything is freshly made to order and full of flavor. I came here initially for the food, and ended up coming back again and again for the friendly service and the laid back atmosphere. When I look back on my meals at Brother Bong, I will fondly recall the many meals and hours spent chatting with my fellow English teacher volunteers. It is important to note they are cash only!
What I order: Chocolate smoothie bowl, amok chicken, and the coconut milk iced latte
2. The Bean Embassy Roastery and Specialty Coffee
Price: $5-10 per person
The Bean Embassy is a serene cafe offers a green and lush and indoor and outdoor space, serving Western and Khmer dishes and some of the best coffee and matcha I tried in Siem Reap. The indoor spaces have air conditioning and fast fast WiFi, making it an ideal place to work or relax.
What I order: Hinata Japanese matcha and avocado honey toast. A popular desert is the matcha ice cream served on a thick cut piece of french toast with caramel sauce.

3. New York Bagels
Price: $5-10 per person
If you’re looking for a breakfast Western food fix, New York Bagels is your spot! As someone who has had the real deal bagels from New York City, I was super hesitant to try this place out, but it ended up being one of my favorite places for a taste of home during my two month stay in Siem Reap. Their menu is packed with a variety of delicious bagel sandwiches, quality coffee, teas and sweet treats.
What I order: The classic bacon, egg & cheese on an everything bagel paired with a vanilla iced latte. The chicken pesto bagel sandwich is another standout.
4. Chocolate Gardens សួនសូកូឡា
Price: $10-15 per person
Chocolate Gardens is a hidden oasis with a bit of everything, tucked away in the streets of Siem Reap. I originally stopped by for brunch, but was pleasantly surprised to discover it’s also a small shopping destination. The cafe serves a Khmer and Western style breakfast and lunch menu alongside tasty coffees and teas in a serene garden like setting, making it a perfect spot to relax and escape the busy city streets. What makes this place especially memorable is the artisan shop connected to the cafe, featuring locally handmade Cambodian goods like artwork, clothing, purses, jewelry, and accessories. I bought a handmade love heart leather keychain that lives on my purse. On select days, the space transforms into a small local market where vendors sell unique handmade goods. Chocolate Gardens is the perfect blend of food, culture, and community.
